hi, i'm a 43-year old woman, married, no children. i essentially worked and supported my education (undergraduate and one plus years of law school) with a lot of student loans. i sustained a catastropic injury in '93 which derailed my plans.
fortunately, i was earning enough so my disability benefits leave me relatively comfortable.
however, i am extremely uncomfortable about the lack of financial independence. in addition, i have not taken any steps to resolve the issues of outstanding student loans as well as back-taxes (generally 941s).
any hope?
