Hello all,

I'm 52, an engineer with a national HVAC company, and looking for sound advice on how soon I might be able to give up the daily grind.

Married, 4 kids (14, 12, 9, & 8) + a dachshund hound dog.:greetings10:

Welcome to the forum....:flowers: Loads of great info here.

Married, no kids and two cats. :)

Start running FireCalc (firecalc.com) and get a snapshot. Of course you should look at other programs and considerations as well.... Quicken has a decent one with their program as well.

Welcome.

I don't have much to add without more information, but if you can pull it off while raising four minor children -- wow...

Welcome to your planning session! First things first. Assess what you got, figure out what you currently spend, figure out what it costs to do what you want. If you have enough and want to then jump out. If you don't have enough, then figure out how to get there or simplify the wants.

Planning is a necessary part of retiring early successfully.
