We (at 41 and 36) crossed the 1MM mark at the end of today and for the end of the quarter

. Roughly 750k in financial assets and 250k in house. 1,000,902 to be exact. Of couse I'm counting house equity so we're not official millionaire's, but I am by my math. I don't suppose we'll get a call from the millionaire's committee. We may lose the mark Monday or sometime in the future as the assets gyrate up, and down, but I'm proud of making it.

When we get to ~1.0MM in financial assets we will officially retire and draw 5% based on either Guytons's rules or similar. BTW the 6% Guyton model is a bit flawed. I'll post more on that later. For now I'll just enjoy the wine, the kids and the weekend and hope for good weather.
