Just last night I finally got my spreadsheets to all work out, finally! It'll be a very tight retirement, but at $1000 a year above my absolute minimum subsistance level, Firecalc says 95% chance.
Who am I? I'm 46 years old, self employed, but currently not working due to a (hopefully temporary) medical problem that disabled me in April.
So I don't exactly know my status right now, and am not going to worry about it until my body gets straightened out.
But I've been worrying a lot about how fast I've been burning through my savings the last few months. You can imagine how it felt when I worked up the latest figures and realized I'd actually be able to survive without the business. Wouldn't be pretty, and there certainly won't be any world cruises in my future, but it sure beats where I was thinking I'd be
