Retired at 37? Wow - that is impressive.
Welcome, and I look forward to hearing your story - or at least, however much of it you wish to share with us!

A few things that led to our early retirement are:

No Divorce (married 20 years)
Lived on no more than 3K a month
High savings rate (76% at it's peek) Lived on 1 paycheck
Purchased high quality everything
Made real estate investments the past few years that have replaced wage income.

I started writing a bit.

We have started to travel/explore/and get lost. Our last trip was 77 days up through the east coast and into Canada. We have a 7 year old and tried homeschooling, but with mixed results. We have put her back into public school and now look forward to the summer time when we can take off for 3 months exploring again.

Typo. Purchased high quality USED everything.

Example. Last week I scored a very nice solid wood kitchen table set for $50 at a moving sale. I just had the patience to wait for the right opportunity. It was easy to just eat on the couch for a few weeks instead of dishing out $300 for a like table.

Having patience to make a purchase really helps with retiring early.
