Greetings from CO

Hello FIRE brothers & sisters!

Lurked here for many, many, moons and it's time for me to come out from the shadows with a brief intro!

About me and my tentative plan:

51 years old, single but living with longtime GF. Would like to exit at 55 when I qualify for employer subsidized health insurance. Recently surpassed $2M in retirement assets. Unfortunately all pre-tax except for $141K in Roth. Current A.A. is 75/25. Home is worth $800K and have $108.5K mortgage (15 years @ 2.875%) and will likely pay it off in the next 3 to 3.5 years.

I've tracked my after-tax spending for the past 8 years and with no mortgage, I can pull it off on a 3% SWR. Firecalc puts it at 100%.

I'm looking forward to contributing to the community forums!

Thanks

Welcome!

Colorado? CO

It looks like you are heading toward (a) finish line. Well done. 4 more years of power saving. Get your AA in line with your need to take risk. Pay off your mortgage or downsize. Great fun ahead.

Welcome FVFIRE.

Looks like you're in good shape to pull the plug when you're ready.

Like the others, curious about the C.O. My guesses are Colorado or Captain Obvious. LOL.

My plan calls for delaying SS until 70. Of the 2M, 389k is in 457 funds to tap penalty free whenever I quit and shouldn’t need to do 72t on other sources (401a, 403b, and rollover tIRA). My GF is 7 years younger and will continue in her j*b, we enjoy the current house and downsizing is not desired.

Looking forward to losing the lousy commute and regaining both free time and my sense of humor.

Oh OK!! Then in the title of your thread, the periods in CO are probably typos since Colorado is usually abbreviated CO instead of C.O. I'll take them out. If you object for some reason, just let me (or any mod) know and we can put them back in.
