Hi all,

I'm originally from the UK but currently working in Hong Kong. I have a long way to go in my dreams of early retirement (i'm early 30s, aiming to retire before 50).

Does anyone here have experience of working overseas and retiring back in the UK? In particular, any tips for avoiding all my retirement income disappearing into the UK tax system would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome from another European who is thinking of spending some time back home during retirement. Regarding your question re: tax, although I have much respect for most posters here, I would contact a CPA. Good luck,
