Hello from So Cal

The truth is, I can't afford an early retirement but saw this forum as a way to talk with others about investing wisely. Looking forward to meeting new friends!

Just being aware of the issues around retirement helps. Living below your means (LBYM), make a plan and see what happens.

If what you learn from this site enables you to retire at 65 instead of 66 then you have personally retired early.

Welcome to the board.
Retired in Jan, 2010 at 55, moved to England in May 2016

Welcome aboard. Believe me I have pressed the wonderful people here for information and they readily oblige with thoughtful perspectives on the issue at hand, if not with a bit of wit and sarcasm at times (its good for you)....the so called devil's advocate

Spent some time in Chatsworth. Graduated from CSUN.
I have learned much about investing and early retirement (ER) here.
Lots of good advice on the social and psychological aspects of retirement, too.

I've got one word for you.
