Hello, I am new here!

Glad to have found this board. I'm 55, still working, and plan to do so for about another ~5 years. I've been with the same company for 28 years, and would really like to hit that 30 year mark, at least. I don't love my job, but I get to work from home, so I can't complain.

DH took early retirement from GM in 2008, and is working part-time as a consultant.

Both our kids are grown and on their own so we're enjoying having a little extra $$ and time.

I love college football and basketball, politics, sewing, reading, and using our timeshares whenever possible.

Enough about me, I have an annuity question, so I'm jumping over to that board now.

Nice to meet everyone!

Welcome to the forum MelBay. There is lots of info here due to members that have retired under varying circumstances. Also, future retirees still planning. Many stories to hitch-hike on. I am also a GM retiree, having left in 1988 with 34 years service. I am just going into my 25 year of retirement. Love it.
