Hello My name is T.J., Im 46 and retired last June...

...Everything is going well so far.

I've always been a saver but I started planning this, 15 years ago when I met a 50 y/o who was retired and I realized it wasn't fantasy. My initial net worth threshold was hit 3 years ago, but I got scared and raised it. The second one came 1.5 years ago and the same thing happened. Then a big rearrangement at work pushed me to accept my net worth at the start of 2017 as being enough AND my boss finally believed me and assigned replacements for me to train. So it's done.

I made estimated tax payments for the first time this year and I am currently researching LT cap gain harvesting to maximize my 0% (up to $38,600) status for 2018 and the how estimated payments fit in with that. Any links would be appreciated but not expected, I will be looking myself.

Happy New Year!

T.J.
