HI

Just found these forums today - got it from the Diehards site. I am 59, retired 4 years ago. I was a Clinical Social Worker for NY State and in private practice. My wife and I wanted to retire early so we worked our butts off and saved. Moved to South Carolina from NYC where I had always lived. I am an ambivalent follower/observer of Bob Brinker and lurk and learn from the Bob Brinker forum at suite 101. I also frequent the Vanguard Diehards forum. Neither have a lot of input from early retirees so I look forward to learning and sharing with you folks.

Coach, I have no regrets

I worked very hard since 1968 and while I liked my work, I was also burnt out. I love living in the Charleston SC area 9 months of the year and in our "vacation" home in MA for the summers. We have a new granddaughter in Oregon and a son in NJ so between traveling to them and doing some of the world traveling we had put off, I am having too much fun to have any regrets. Moneywise I think we will be fine, tho probably even more well off people get anxious from time to time (like this past week) and we know how to be thrifty when we need to.
Thanks for asking.

Thanks Bigla. I listen to BB on the radio on the weekends and have subscribed to his newsletter out of curiosity. Wanted to see what others think and say.
