I am Tom, age 60, and I want to retire in April 2019. I presently have about $700k in mutual funds, ETFs and individual stocks, a paid for house with about $2,600 a year in property taxes, and net monthly income of $2,600 working for the State of New Mexico. When I retire I will have about 60 percent of my present take home pay, but I will have family health insurance deducted from the monthly check. I presently am learning about digital currency, and wonder if I couldn't set it up so that I cash out a set amount of that to live on.
Monthly expenses are utilities, $325, food, $500, insurance, $515.65, includes an umbrella policy, and gasoline, $200. (this will go down when I am no longer forced to commute to work). I will be 62 when I retire on April 3, 2019.

Any advise on how to make the near future better?
