Hi from Ann and from NRM

Hi all,
I'm Ann and I'm a frugalista... (Hi, Ann!)

I found the book _Your Money or Your Life_ back around 2000. I was a miserable dot-com slave looking for a way out. The book showed me how. Now I work half-time at an environmental non-profit and volunteer the rest of my time to financial education and bike advocacy. My life rules. :-)

I used to frequent the Simple Living Forums, but I've been too busy to hang out there much lately!

Through a long process, the _Your Money or Your Life_ program fostered the creation of a non-profit - New Road Map Foundation - and a website - Financial Integrity | Free Practical Financial Planning Tools | Get Out of Debt - Become Financially Independent. All the information about this program is available there for free.

Right now, I'm working on a research project for NRM. We're trying to figure out how people effectively get out of debt, and how to match up people with methods appropriate to them. Artists may not do well with methods that require a lot of math and tracking, and statisticians may not appreciate visual techniques like graphs or debt jars. If we can help people figure out ahead of time what method would work for them, we can help them improve their financial lives that much faster.

We're conducting a survey as part of this research. I'm looking for respondents for the survey. Can y'all help?

Take the survey: Debt survey
Keep up with the research: http://www.financialintegrity.org/in...debt_repayment

Thanks for your help and please spread the survey link far and wide!

The forum staff reviewed this and approved the link to an external survey and the Financial Integrity website.

The survey is short and painless. I took a look around their website and it is quite nice, with some good links and so forth. Welcome, Ann!

No worries, Brew, just wanted y'all to know that we "gate-keep" to the best of our abilities and try not to clutter up the site too much.
With the fondness many of our members have for Your Money Or Your Life, I lobbied for this one to be included as okay.
Feel free to ignore it at your leisure.

The site looks like it has some useful tools, but I didn't take the survey either. YMMV
