Hi I'm Bob and I'm a retiree

I just found this place. What a great forum. It may take me a while to learn my way around here but I am going to enjoy it.

I retired last September after working as an independent consultant for the banking and financial industry in NYC for ... a lot of years. I'm turning 57 next week.

So .. retired for 7 months. My wife and I spent the first 3 months renting an apartment in Raleigh and using that as a base to explore relocation options in North and South Carolina. No, we didn't buy a house but came close on several. I guess it just isn't in the cards yet. We are travelling to Nashville soon to check out that are and have a nice spring vacation.

[mod edit]

Thanks,
Bob

Welcome. I only found the site 4 months ago myself. I've been enjoying it and hope you do as well.
