Hello...I am 38 and just retired in May, 2010. I was military and have a very comfortable living money wise. I am also very injured with 3 fusions in my back, 2 herniated discs and one blown disc, so I am limited to what I do for fun. I am bored as hell and trying to figure out what to do...I'll explore the threads to see what others say before I

Welcome to the board, SG777, we have several military retirees here and a few with disability ratings.

When the novelty of reading these threads wears thin, I recommend a copy of Ernie Zelinski's "How to Retire Happy, Wild, & Free", especially his "Get-A-Life Tree" for activities/interests brainstorming.

You're probably far ahead of the rest of us on the military medical aspects, but you may want to try these as well:
Read this first!! Just the FAQs...
(FAQ archive) But... what will I do all day?
An updated FIRE recommended reading list (with a military twist)
(FAQ archive) Military member who's confronting an early medical retirement?

My next suggestion would be swimming or some other water activity, but I'm not sure that you're in exactly the world's best location for that...

The book written on, "The Military Guide to Financial Independence and Retirement", on sale now! For more info see "About Me" in my profile.
I don't spend much time here anymore, so please send me a PM. Thanks.
