It's GrrrRRREAT!
Early retirement, I mean... well, I mean I hope it's great.
Okay - so I'm just stopping in to say "Hi I'm here" and to let ya' know there's a noobie around. Fire at will, Gridley - just don't fire at me!

Retired from the military (U.S. Army) about five or six years ago. Ended up working as a contractor on a military base for awhile, then transformed into a Gov't employee... that is usually more info than I put out on the interwebz.

I don't think I'm ready for FIRE - although I'm thankful I'm on the right path because of doing my homework back ~10 or 15 years ago... except for the whole stock market instead of gold thing

So - empty-nest and comfortable would be an accurate way to describe the situation. Hope to get to know some of you, and while I'll mostly be lurking, I may chime-in with my two-cents worth when I can't keep my mouth shut.
