hi everyone, i joined last night. i never heard of this place until it was mentioned at the bh site. i've lurked here on and off since summer. while reading a thread last night i was unable to see graphs because i was not logged in, so i joined! i retired 3 years ago in my mid 50's, talk about timing! needless to say i did just what you're not supposed to do - retire into a bear market but not just any bear.... the great recession! because i lbmn i have been able to manage with my modest pension w/o any distributions from tax deferred investments except for a small one to help with paying off the mortgage, that was getting burdensome despite the fact that i expected to carry it. so here i am FIRE!
