NC Veteran ready to retire

Good morning from NC. I am a 20 year retired veteran from the Coast Guard and 100% disabled by the VA. I am 53 and working full time for the VA but ready to move to the next phase of life. I want to settle down in Winston Salem with my wife and spend time doing what I want instead of following orders.

Reminds me of the old story about the teenager who didn't like his home life or high school. "I'm sick and tired of my parents and teachers telling me what to do all the time; I'm going to quit school and join the Marines."
