New member checking in.....

First post, so just a few thoughts.....

I found this forum about 3 weeks ago and have read quite a bit of each section, just like a good book that you can't put down. I am a couple years from RE and I am soaking up anything that I can learn about that subject.

Basically, I (think I)"have enough" but have not "had enough" yet, so am just trying to plan ahead and make sure that all goes well when that time comes.

I see that I have some books to read because I need to know more about managing my nest egg myself, (four pillars of investing) and being able to answer the question "what do you do all day?" (live more, work less)

I haven't figured out that part yet but am trying to get there. I don't plan to work after RE, but my hobbies will get old if I do them all day too.

Basically work for megacorp with pension (non-cola), 401K in Fidelity, after tax investments, house paid for etc.
My weak points are knowledge of investing, specifics of bonds, and how to set everything up for RE.

I will be posting mostly questions and will comment if I can add value.

Hey, don't put unreasonable constraints on your posting. No one else does.

Well, there's only one way to find out. And you can always go back to work later.

But most of the ERs here worry about that aspect of their lives and then, when they're actually ER'd, wonder why they waited so long.
