Newbie Coffee Mavin Reporting In

Hi, New to the forum today.
I'm 49 year old single parent of 2 young adult dependent kids. One's in college & the other may be returning to school in the next year. I too may go back to school to do an advanced degree, but that depends on how the job market is in early 2011.

My main interest is to figure out how to cover medical expenses during early retirement. That's the only part of my plan that isn't in place as I didn't anticipate the wild increases in health care costs. I was going to retire at 55 but I think that will be delayed due to yet another plant closure that eliminated my job recently.

Hi Coffee Mavin and welcome to the forum. Two college-age kids plus health insurance plus ER. That will keep you busy.

Lots of interest and opinions 'round here on all those topics, but you might find some interesting ideas too. Ask a question or join in a discussion.
