Sun City AZ and Thailand

Hi I'm 73 and long since retired. I live in Sun City AZ 6 months and Thailand 6 months. I am new to your FoRum and I am checking things out.

I live modestly on SS - a couple of small Pensions and what I take out of my 401KK RMW -

I play Duplicate Bridge, Travel, Make Jewelry , and work on my Financial Strategy.

It keeps me out of trouble, so as to speak. enough for now. See You.

Welcome tndiehard.

My parents were huge bridge players... I've been meaning to learn.

Hi tndiehard. I spent two years in Thailand toward the end of the Vietnam War. I'm getting to the point I would like to revisit that country and see if it and the people are as nice now as they were then. I think my greatest hesitation is I hate today's flying experience with a passion. Any suggestions for such an adventure for a single person?

Welcome, tndiehard. Looking forward to hearing about your lifestyle. Would like to visit Thailand in the future. Took a bridge course through Olli a few years back. Needless to say, I would need a refresher course.

Yes indeed tndiehard, please elaborate and tell us the details of where and how. Do you have medical insurance in Thailand or just pay as you go?

We have spent the last three winters in SE Asia, much of it in Thailand.

Where in Thailand are you and what made you select that area in favour of other Thai locations?

We very much like the south but we met many more expats in Chiang Mai. I think that we could very easily do five months in Thailand each year.
