I am a 37 year old CFO that is married with two little boys (2.5 and 1). We are working towards me reaching early retirement in about 7 years.

Welcome! I am about 7 years ahead of you. I think I have reached FI but like you I have younger kids. Do not underestimate how expensive they can be! We easily have 50x current spending but that is CURRENT spending. I know they will get more expensive so that number is likely to change. I'm slowing down but holding on another year (OMY syndrome) or two.
