10 year service award on E-R . Org

I check regularly and have learned much. Wish the forum was around when I had to make the decision to retire early at 50 with two young boys........and keeping up with their activities resulted in quick reads, occasional posting.

I didn't post much at all back then and can relate. I initially retired at 54 with one in high school and the other in middle school, and it seems we were always dealing with multiple activities. I must admit, I do miss those days.

Coming up on 10 years in April, and planning on retiring at the end of that month. That will be reward enough!

Been at ER 9 years and retired 13 years. Had a bit of catchup to do. I learned to count on 4% annual appreciation on the portfolio. Doing better than that until recently.

With the reverence for LBYM, I learned that Mexico was way cheaper than Vancouver, and reduced the annual budget by 30+% by spending 6 months there every year. Now we can live forever!
