14,000 year old tool kit
Quote:
There was a sickle for harvesting wild wheat or barley, a cluster of
flint spearheads, a flint core for making more spearheads, some smooth
stones (maybe slingshots), a large stone (maybe for striking flint
pieces off the flint core), a cluster of gazelle toe bones which were
used to make beads, and part of a second bone tool," he said.

What would your tool kit look like if you had to name seven items today?
Mine would be quite different than my ancestor's tool kit above. I would have as my seven items: Laptop computer, car key, house key, cell phone, MasterCard card, military ID card, K-Bar knife.

A big hammer, a set of vice grips and five cold bottles of beer.

Yeah, but you'd have to empty at least one of the beer bottles before you could smash it with the hammer to use as a cutting tool.
I wonder what archeologists would make of all the world's clipboards.

keys, sunglasses, credit card and a cold bottle of water (oh, and pants, shirt & shoes) and i'm out the door. (optional cash, puter, cell phone.) no reason to wear a toolbelt anymore; the world is my toolbox.

Why do you think I only have five left?
I was presuming that recyclable litter laying about didnt count towards my limit of 7.
