Can you believe it? 20 years ago Nirvana released Nevermind. They made us all realize Seattle is cool!

Other things popular in 1991:

Movies - Silence of the Lambs, Thelma and Louise, and Fried Green Tomatoes were released.

TV - Cheers was a hit show and Johnny Carson was still on the air.

I miss Johnny!

It was twenty years ago today,
Sgt. Pepper taught the band to play
They've been going in and out of style
But they're guaranteed to raise a smile.
So may I introduce to you
The act you've known for all these years,
Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band.

We could get a cottage on the Isle of Wight (if it's not too dear).

Congratulations, rescueme.

OK, we need the song for rescueme and his DW. Congrats on 42 years! I love how threads take turns in unexpected and wonderful directions around here

You must have really done a double-take when you saw the title of this thread! ("How did they know it was the 20th anniversary of our 22nd?" )

Congratulations to you and your DW.
