Most accidents here are side impact as well. One of the selling points of my car was it's good side impact rating and good child occupant rating. Mine only has 6 airbags total, the newer ones have 10 or more I think.

Here's another interesting vid discussing the different factors in a crash. I was surprised at the bit about how a car sitting two inches lower due to 4 people and their luggage did significantly worse than an identical car with only the driver. I really think there is a lot of luck involved whether one walks away from any crash.

Pricey. Not really a LBYM vehicle. Lots of them around here though.
