60 minutes tonight (You want cheese with that whine?)

Carly Fiorina and Patty Dunn? Give me a break! "Oh poor me!"
I am "hurt" (Carly). Pass the barf bag please. These women make me want to puke. You can not be an effective CEO (even in a small
company) without a thick skin. It's tough! At a company the size of HP,
it must be brutal. These women were not up to it and I'll tell you something
else.............they probably got the job because of their gender.
That is truly sick.

I think Carly just failed to gain the confidence of her Board. She also promised them that Cappella would stay on for 3 years after the Compaq deal was completed. Then he left after 6 months. Mistake #1. Then she missed the plan. Mistake #2.

Finally I think she did not interact with her Board enough during these tough time.
Strike 3.

I agree with your reaction to the whining.

Pattie was just ChB, not an operational position. But she carried the can on the pretexting fraud. I think the "old boys" (Perkin) got her. Maybe she thought she had more power? I feel sorry for her (sort of).

But it really does indicate how visible failures at that level become.
