If I did any of those moves I'd need more than ibuprofen. I do remember Bill Haley and the Comets though. "rock and roll is here to stay"

Hard to deny that drugs influenced much of the music of that era, but I would submit that much of classical, jazz, and rock music fits that description. Does one need LSD to appreciate Van Gogh?

Possibly...

Well, let's call it a "greater" appreciation... I was told. And the "flashbacks" weren't too bad either... I was told.

Here is Darlene Love on Dave Letterman singing some Christmas songs. She was the lead of the Blossoms and also sang with the Crystals on occassion. Now this girl has some lungs.

Take a look at the album cover. La La Brooks and Darlene Love together, these were 2 of the best girl singers, even today. I posted them in this thread singing alone in recent days, they are still both great.

The third singer, Barbara Alston is Shirley Alston Reeves sister who is a great 60's singer in her own right.

Here's a good one for ya 73ss454. Oh, I've been married to my guy since '74 and can't sing either! Maybe that's why I love watching those who can

Whew, I got nothing for you guys from the 60s--only vaguely know of these lovely ladies. Here's the girl bands from my teen years (and with a cool car in the video):

I did hear an interesting interview with Robert Plant on NPR today that talked about the influence of blues music from the US on British bands of the 1960s like Led Zeppelin. Robert Plant: Born In England; Made In America : NPR
