A 1950s car identification test

This was fun but it was harder than I thought.

See how you do.

36/48 (75%), with some goofs, and a lot of guesswork deduction...

I did fairly well on the makes, but not so well on the years.

Having worked as an auto engineer, I can't imagine making such radical changes (at least in body and interior) on a yearly basis. And all with no CAD.

Had some trouble with the early 50"s models and the hood ornaments.

46/48

Since I was born in 49, someone I knew owned every one of those cars (with the possible exception of Packard). One of my friends still has a Henry J.

"You got 81% (39 right out of 48). The average score is 73%"...

What did you expect from an old phart (born in '48)...

38 right. Born in 1959, but I've been reading car magazines and fantasizing about buying an old car for years.

If I could pick any of the cars in the quiz, it would be the '51 Roadmaster convertible, hands down.

I feel really bad because I missed all four in the first question. All four! How can I explain that because I have always loved the Chevy line during the mid 50s, one of my fave.

I have not explanation except bad memory.
