They must have cleaned the place up. We were there back in 2002 while visiting NYC for the first time. The beach at Coney Island was dirty and disgusting. Trash all over the beach everywhere which was gross. Add to that the black metal trashcans every 20 feet that were never used yet somehow managed to emit a rather foul odor.
Great pictures Mathjak! I can remember going on the Wonder Wheel when I was a kid. Also when I was real young (and that was a while ago) my Dad tried to get me to go on the parachute jump. I took one look at the seat that you sat on and watched from the ground as my Dad went on.
