Alaska~New Study

Interesting story about the Bering Land Bridge between Asia and NA, but the most intertesting thing that I see is noted near the end of the piece~

Quote:
The previous dates for the inundation of the land bridge -- about 14,400 years ago -- came from a 25-year-old radiocarbon sample that now appears to have been contaminated with coal deposits washed into the Bering and Chukchi seas, he said.

The study also indicates summer temperatures on the land bridge were about 8 to 11 degrees F warmer 11,000 years ago than they are today, said Elias.

It seems that Global Warming has failed to catch on in Northern Alaska over the last 14,000 years.

Those cave men, apes, and single celled animals in the past must have used a lot of gas guzzling cars to get around.

The climate scientists must've missed this data. I'm sure these studies will entirely gut the entire AGW theory.

Just finished "State of Fear" by Michael Crichton. A potboiler used as a foil to show that GW and associated issues are not necessarily supported by all the data. Includes numerous citations and references. Includes an interesting account of how Yellowstone was mis-managed. Obviously he is a shill for Big Oil.

PS, check out Suncor (SU). Nice run, eh?
