Curious = what do my fellow non-prime members usually throw into their Amazon cart to cross the free shipping threshold?

Our standard move used to be canned cat food, but now that we're cat-less I usually find some sort of consumable with a long shelf life that I know I'll eventually work my way through. Most common are probably economy sized package of dishwasher soap packets or laundry detergent.

Anyone else do this? What do you usually add?

Fish tank filters, sweet potato dog chews, a DVD, fridge water filters..... There is always something.

And I use smile dot amazon to benefit my favorite beagle rescue charity.

From my amazon order filler spreadsheet:

earphones
butter chicken curry kitchens of India
electric toothbrushes and additional toothbrush heads
compact flourescent lightbulbs (CFL)
tracfone stuff
battery charger and batteries - sanyo eneloop
camera
VTech CS6409 Expansion Phone
Covergirl Translucent Medium Powder 715 (Or Honey 720)
Revlon Color Stay Makeup - Early Tan
Cat Food
toilet paper
paper towels
wiper blades - 18”, 20” - civic; 19”, 24” - accord
air filters for car (8040 for civic)

=================

FYI, the make up and the cat food isn't for me.

I have Amazon Prime, but some of the less expensive things (uncer $10) I have ordered lately are,

AAA batteries
AA batteries
3 volt lithium coin batteries
3-way 50/100/150 watt light bulbs
8 GB USB flash drive
iPad charging/sync cable
Other USB cable
USB mini-hub
plastic hooks, removable, for hanging things on the wall
Nintendo 3DS styluses
Nintendo 3DS game cartridge storage box
instant decaf coffee
earbud headphones
cleaning supplies
decal

Usually another book or some (relatively) inexpensive bit of photo gear if sold by Amazon.

I keep a wish list there, many are items that I will probably never actually buy, but that's why they call it a "wish list". If there's a small item there I'll get that.

Timely thread since I needed to fill out an order and could use a USB mini hub which I wouldn't have thought of until later.

I'd look at consumables that you are going to use anyway. Toiletries, shampoo, cleaning products.

Whenever I cash in credit card rewards points I opt for amazon gift cards. I usually have about a $100 in credit in my account at any given time. Maybe that is why I love amazon so much!

I mostly buy books but occasionally sporting or outdoor gear. Or baking supplies.

I keep about 5 different wish lists on different subjects so never have a shortage of 5-10 dollar items to add in (though usually it ends up being a book).
