And now for something completely different...

Discussion boards sometimes provide an amazing way to communicate and gain perspectives not availbable to many of us. Here is a great example:

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showt...7&page=1&pp=15

This link will take you to a forum where posters normally discuss travel deals, frequent flyer miles, etc. However, this particular thread has been hijacked by two posters: one (Dovster) is an Israeli located in a kibbutz near the border with Lebanon, and the other (BEYFlyer) a resident of Beirut. It is not a shouting match, but instead a fascinating first person report of what each is experiencing as rockets, bombs and artillery fire rage around them.

Facinating stuff - the reality of it impacts you in a way that TV news cannot.

I don't know who the good guys and bad guys are, but I sure wish they would quit fighting over there.
