Any good free downloads for Copying DVDs?

I want to copy some of my DVDs. Anyone know of any good 'free' DVD copy download software available?

I tried BurnOn (free) and it worked fine.

http://www.burnworld.com/burnoncddvd/

I've since been using the Nero 7 app demo, and that seems pretty good, but with a few problems.

You probably have to fiddle around with it before it'll burn...

Could you share that website please?

Nero's site is: nero.com

I've got their demo installed, and purchased a copy of a slightly older version on Ebay for $13. When I used the S/N to check upgrade prices, nero said it was a pirated copy. Seller refunded my money. Sure is tempting to install it anyway, but being an ex-software developer I can't justify that.

The software has a lot of parts, and most things seem to work fine. There are a few things that are funky, and don't work the way you'd expect. It crashed my system to blue screen once.

Ratings on Epinions.com and amazon.com are all over the map. I suspect that there are some areas with problems, and if you don't need those areas, you love the software.

The competing product is Roxio Easy Media Creator. That gets similar good and bad reviews.

Actually, their company name is based on that pun. Nero for burning CD-ROM. Their title screen shows the colliseum burning.

Well, I am not going to recommend it as I've had a few problems with it today.

Copying DVDs and CDs are very, very different!

Yeah, subtle computer-geek humor is its own reward, no feedback necessary!

I knew Al's beaver would be all over it...
