No weekend time this trip - I'm scheduled to be back out again in Sept for a couple weeks - with a weekend to play in the middle!

Uum, lots of Bay Area and LA folk but I don't recall anyone from Ventura county.

I haven't spent much time there and don't really know that much about the area but I'll chime in anyway.

LA is to the south and Santa Barbara is to the north. I would recommend them if you have the time.

In Ventura county you have Ojai (never been there but I understand that it is a very nice up scale area and the movie Shang ri la was filmed there) and the beaches (been there but I recall that it was very windy that day) and after that I think that it is mostly strawberry fields.
