Anyone recommend a registry cleaner for computers?

It seems a registry cleaner to clean my computer would help, but I am probably one of the most computer knowledge deficit persons here so have no clue if this is worth the money or not. Is it?
If it is, is there a type or brand I should buy for a Windows Vista system?

I like this one:

Advanced SystemCare Free | Free Windows XP/Vista/7 Registry Cleaner, Clean Privacy & Speed Up PC

I think it came recommended to me from this board a while ago.

It is free, but it is also excellent and simple to use to boot.
