Anyone recommend a registry cleaner for computers?

Anyone recommend a registry cleaner for computers?
It seems a registry cleaner to clean my computer would help, but I am probably one of the most computer knowledge deficit persons here so have no clue if this is worth the money or not. Is it?
If it is, is there a type or brand I should buy for a Windows Vista system?
