Attaporn Boonmakchuay and the 10-foot python

Seems as though relieving one's self in Chachoengsao, Thailand can be pretty difficult at times.

No snakes were harmed for this story.
Quote:

The 38-year-old told Thai TV Channel 7 that he struggled to remove the snake for 30 minutes Wednesday before he managed to free himself with help from his wife and a neighbor. After his wife tied a rope around the snake, Attaporn pried open its jaws before passing out.

Emergency workers dismantled the Asian-style squat toilet, with the python still twined through it. The snake was taken away to be released back into the wild, according to an emergency responder cited by the newspaper Thai Rath.

Reminds me of a friend I knew growing up. He was five, and his younger sister was in toilet training. He warned her about the "toilet snake" that would bite her if she wasn't careful. Naturally this extended the training period by quite some time.

Who would've thunk the story was true?

Am I the only one that opened this thread thinking "Attaporn Boonmakchuay and the 10-foot python" was a porn stars name and/or a weird porn movie name?

Surely I am not. I hope...

I've always have this fear when I sit down in a toilet. Who knew it could be real? At least I don't live in a jungle.

There was a story of a giant rat in a nice hotel that climbed up the toilet pipe a few months ago.
Pretty frightening when you realize there is nothing except an bend in the pipe with water in it stopping lots of stuff from crawling up from the sewers.

Nah, I was there too.

And if only someone was there and snapped a pic of that python attached to his willie, it would have been. Would have gone viral. There would be posters and t-shirts -

I'm very impressed the snake is being let back into the wild. I wouldn't be so forgiving.

It happens in colder climates as well, such as Scotland and England.

Being from the UK I remembered these 2 stories, particularly the incident in Manchester which is where my wife's family lives. When I Googled to find that particular story I found a lot of similar stories, admittedly most were in warmer climates.

As the python was slithering away from his captors, he was heard to mumble, "It tasted chicken. Uncooked, creamed chicken."

How do you miss the fact that a ten foot snake is camping out in your toilet? Too busy reading the newspaper to look down?

Sounds like a good reason to close the seat...and put a big brick on it.

The snake came out of the pipe that the toilet is connected to. All that seals the pipe is a little water in a dip in the pathway.
