Bad Timing In Advertising

Today I received an 'invitation' from the cable company (Time Warner) that I should switch my phone service to them.

Ad phrase: "Why settle for the phone company?"

Electricity was out from 14 - 20 Sep, cable is still out (22 Sep) and phone (ATT) never went out.
(Ad also mentions 24/7 local customer support)

I might just drop cable entirely, I really don't miss it that much.

Any recommendations as to type of antenna (15 miles max) and how to receive it to Dell laptop/desktop?
"Knowin' no one nowhere's gonna miss us when we're gone..."
