Thanks for the link.

Have you read it? Is it worth reading?

"Beautiful Children" is the first novel by Las Vegas native Charles Bock, published by Random House on January 22, 2008, it’s number 27 on the New York Times Bestseller List.

I thought I was too tired to read last night but got sucked into it; for me it’s the kind of book I can’t put down, I’m on page 47. The Amazon.com customer reviews run the gamut averaging four out of five stars. An amusing one says that you will either love or hate this book–-reminds me of the discussions on this forum, we can debate any topic, even, say, toothpicks (but don’t get me started, I do have a favorite brand).

I’ve heard of this marketing ploy only once before. Suze Orman went on "Oprah" two weeks ago and let one of her books out on the net for a day or two. Let’s say sometimes it works, Mr. Bock has a new reader in me, and I will pay attention when he publishes again.

I see the book has jumped to #14 on the "Times" list. Wonder how they figure that?

Thanks Cuppa.

One way to read ebooks on your laptop:

Choose View/Rotate View Counterclockwise
Choose View/Fit page
Choose Window/Full Screen View

Rotate laptop and use the Page Down to go to the next page.

It would be nice if you could use View/Fit Visible for this, but then PageDn won't work properly.
