Bill Gates to Retire Early in 2008

At age 53, he's giving up his daily duties to spend more time on his foundation.* He has seen the light!

Hope for old Bill's sake we're not looking at the start of a prolonged (3-5 year) down market...

Re: Bill Gates to Retire Early in 2008

Strange how his retirement date would position him perfectly for a surprise last minute run for president on an independent ticket. Hmmm...

Oops, I think my tinfoil hat just fell off.

Seriously though, he would probably win. As long as his solution to the national deficit, tax policy, international warfare and domestic tranquility isn't "reboot and that should fix the problem".

Buffett and Gates in '06! They'll make lousy politicians, but they can pay off the debt in one fell swoop.

Yep, oddly enough all of the electronic voting machines that didnt have a majority of votes for Bill all display " UAE " followed by "PC Load Letter" and then crash, losing all the votes.

Between them less than 100 Billion, that is what Congress just approved for the ongoing War in Iraq!

Our annual deficiet is running over 5 times the net worth of Buffet and Gates combined.

No - we are in real serious trouble here.
