Bunnies Beware - Neuter Your Bunny Day

From today's NY Times:

"Today, it turns out, is Neuter Your Bunny Day, sponsored by Panasonic Oxyride batteries.

Apparently, Panasonic is treating selected rabbit owners to free neutering in Manhattan, in “an educational effort to build awareness for the health benefits of neutering bunnies and the performance benefits of using Oxyride batteries.”

Panasonic is also donating $10,000 to the House Rabbit Society to support the cause. (This is the time of year, the HRS points out, when thousands of bunnies given as pets on Easter wind up abandoned.)

So what’s the connection between Panasonic and rabbit neutering?

Hint: Panasonic is NOT the company whose battery mascot is a rabbit that keeps going…and going…and going…"

Am I the only one who is frightened by the implications of this sentence?

As Brewer already pointed out, yeah, that's scary!

Yeah, they could end up retired, raising a kid, and preparing a lot of healthy, nutritious meals at home! :P

(Just kidding, of course -- I think RE and stay-at-home dadding are both great, myself.)

No snips for this bunny.

The wifes still pushing for baby #2...

I'd like to at least have the illusion that it might be mine...

Maybe so, but now is his chance to get his rabbit fixed, too!

Once again Dave Barry's Mister Language Person would point out that you can never use too many modifiers to clarify which objects apply to which subjects.* This is especially crucial when we're talking about razor-sharp cutting implements.

Although women may gloss over the details, so to speak, I'd like to "take matters into hand" to "point out" that there's a pretty important difference between a vasectomy and a castration.* Let's just say that the v-procedure was not developed on bunnies.

It always makes me a little nervous when spouse points out how our bunny is much more mellow these days, doesn't aggressively attack the other bunnies (both male & female), doesn't mark his territory anymore, and spends a lot of happy time sleeping, eating, & playing.* She notes that he chews constantly to maintain his teeth, sheds a lot of hair, and he need regular nail trims.* He also eats a high-fiber diet with plenty of fruit & veggies but no animal protein.* He's also developed quite a variety of martial arts leg-kicking techniques.* Of course he still spends quality "guy time" kicked back with his legs splayed out, scratching his crotch, and eructating.

Kinda reminds me of some ERs.* It makes me want to take inventory after every nap and every meal.* Just as soon as I find a place to relieve myself...

Let's just say that I'm not so sure my spouse should be in charge of that inventory responsibility anymore.
