How would you like to have someone with a 31% approval rating backing you for President?* * I guess it's hard to tell your brother no thanks.

I think I’d get nauseous if I saw another member of the Bush family in the White House, but why would anyone thinks it’s a good idea to start electing a family dynasty?*
What qualities do we look for in a president anyway?*

They're all afraid of being seen with Neil, their evil brother.
Maybe he's starting a travel agency: "He admitted in the deposition that he previously had sex with several other women while on trips to Thailand and Hong Kong at least five years ago. The women, he said, simply knocked on the door of his hotel room, entered and had sex with him. He said he did not know if they were prostitutes because they never asked for money and he did not pay them."

Aren't the last two Dem. martyrs' ratings in the 20's? I think Bush's popularity is so low because people are in a phase where they generally hate politicians (more than usual, that is). I don't think it's something like a magical realization that the anti-war commies were right after all and Dubya is a tool of the Neocon Likudnik cabal who should be impeached....

Bush's popularity is so low because he's managed to simultaneously upset the liberals, the far right, the middle, etc, etc.. About the only people he hasn't upset is the energy industry. He even upset the people who want to nuke all the arabs by initially supporting the port security deal.

Not to forget Chavez of Venezuela. Chavez branded Bush a "neo-liberal". (Are you running with me, Jesus? )

Then why are so many other politicians' ratings even lower than his?
I agree with everything you said, I just don't think that's the whole story. And as for the liberals, I don't think there was ever much chance of him not upsetting them!

Not to mention the "small government" folks and the "fiscal conservative" folks.
"The government has been secretly collecting records of ordinary Americans' phone calls in an effort to build a database of every call made within the country, it was reported today. AT&T, Verizon and BellSouth telephone companies began turning over records of tens of millions of their customers' phone calls to the National Security Agency program shortly after the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, reported USA Today."

Gives ya lots of warm fuzzies, doesn't it? I am almost tempted to do a FOIA request for my FBI file, but A) I wouldn't want the mailman to hurt his back and B) I'd rather they remain clueless that I might know its there.

Hey and maybe 15 years or so until Jenna can run too!
Dont look at the 31% as a downside. Heck, 3-4 more percentage points and you've got an election win!

I wonder what type of billing & customer service the NSA can provide.
It can't take much effort to do better than AT&T or Verizon, and I'd be happy to turn over my calling records for a price break! I wonder when they'll start up an ISP.
Hawaiian Telcom took over back-office services from Verizon last month. We still haven't received a bill yet...
