This is part of a scam email that I received today. I have no association with Canada, yet they owe me half-a-mil? What a country.

Canada Revenue Agency would like to inform you that you have a total Refund Amount of 469.00 $CAD, In order to access your tax refund form, Please enter the details below then click the 'Next' button to continue. Fields are not case sensitive.

These scams have been going on for several years and CRA has a website full of advice about them.

Protect yourself against fraud

Perhaps your name came up on the scammers' bots if you were searching Canadian websites. Apparently many US citizens have been doing that this week.
