I haven't purchased a pair of dress pants since I retired 9 years ago. I wear shorts 9 months a year and jeans in the winter. Dress pants at funerals. I do have some cargo shorts but mostly golf type.

I wear my cargo pants above the knee.

DW thinks it is fine I wear them as I'll be unfashionable and less attractive

We both wear cargo shorts at our house. I have more pairs than he does.

I want comfort and convenience. It's easy to keep my power bank in my pocket when hunting Pokemon.

Oh, I think you two would look splendid in lederhosen.

If you take a photo together while dancing, I am sure it would make a hit on this forum.

I'm an engineer. Cargo shorts are the least of my wife's worries regarding my fashion sense.

I wear shorts for comfort. That said, any shorts below the knee flunk the comfort test as they do not expose enough "skin" to offer adequate cooling and many bind at the knee.
Cargo shorts are great for the additional pockets...but must be above the knee.

I wear all sorts of shorts. My favorite are adidas that feel similar to a bathing suit, but aren't. My calves actually break out when I wear pants. Winters can be a bit tough on me.

Pants? What's the point of shooting for FIRE if you have to keep wearing pants?
