Cash for appliance clunkers

My refrigerator has been leaking and I was trying to wait for the cash for clunker appliance rebate but the fear of it breaking Christmas Eve did me in so I went to Sears and bought a new french door refrigerator today . I got an additional $100 off because of the cash for clunkers and the beauty of it is you do not even need to get rid of your clunker you can keep it for a spare .So the program has started without any of the hoopla that Cash for clunkers had .

Moe, I would have done exactly the same thing. For one thing, I have not read that the appliance rebate is a given. Also, the aggravation factor(or avoidance of aggravation) is nearly always worth $$$ in my opinion.

Send a message via AIM to Khan
The local electric company (DP&L) is offering to haul away full size refrigerators or freezers for free AND give you $25 for each.

I'm going to call them to take the freezer.
