Chapel in the Woods

A couple of weeks ago, I milled some logs for a gentleman down in northern VA. As part of the job, we milled some oak slabs to be used as rustic benches for an Easter sunrise service. They're holding the service where they will be building a new church soon. Here's a picture I received this morning, they wanted to make the bench supports a bit more substantial/permanent but decided they didn't have enough time before the weekend. The benches are about 3" thick and anywhere from 8' to 12' long, very heavy! I thought it was a neat idea and the benches are made from the trees that were cleared for the church building. I thought the pulpit was kind of neat too. Enjoy.
