Cheap RAM memory upgrades??

I would like an extra gigabyte or two. Is there a place where you can get them for cheap, maybe FatWallet?

I like Crucial. They even have a program that looks into your computer and makes a recommendation in case you don't know what you need.

Newegg, zipzoomfly, mwave, etc. all have great deals on memory. You should be able to pick up 2GB for $20ish or so after rebate depending on what specials are running the week you look.

Just make sure you check the voltage of the memory to make sure they're compatible with your motherboard - some enthusiast memory will not boot at default voltages as they're designed to run at a higher voltage. If you're buying low-end memory, it's not likely a problem, but better safe than sorry...

BTW, if you already have 2GB and are running 32bit XP, it may not be worth the trouble, you can't really get much more than 3GB available regardless of what your motherboard supports (i.e. 4GB=3GB in XP)...
