The wife was hooked on anything Christmas-y by Trans-Siberian Orchestra a year or three ago.

If we start now, we won't want to listen to them by the time Thanksgiving Christmas rolls around? That would be a shame...

A favorite Christmas song performed by an artist I really enjoy is usually a treat .. but in this case it's a car wreck.

Apologies in advance to those that like this arrangement and are offended by my post

Wow. That is awful. And I like Annie too. Might need a new thread on worst Christmas songs. Here's one I'd put up there.

This is pretty bad too.

A thread on bad Xmas songs would be funny, but bound to offend someone when they see their favorite song being trashed. Makes you wonder, though, exactly what they were thinking when they did the recording.

wondered today walking thru the mall - when did The Sound of Music (or at least the one song from it, Favorite Things) become Christmas music??

Merry Christmas, Baby

i never get tired of this one. So many soul, blue and rock players I admire have recorded a version. (B.B. King, Otis Redding, Chuck Berry, Elvis Presley, etc.)

The original, from 1947:

Since the topic is Christmas songs, not Christmas carols...

For pure nostalgia, these two get me. I think it's the impressionable age when they were first heard and the fact they are rarely heard outside their original TV shows.
