Confessions of a Beef Jerky addict...

I love smoked fish. I have eaten it in from a number of places in the US. None seemed as good at what I got close to home. Martha Stewart agrees: Two Harbors Restaurant Rated Best Smoked Fish Spot In America | Northland's NewsCenter: News, Weather, Sports | NBC, CBS, MyNetworkTV, and The CW for Duluth MN / Superior WI | Local News

Actually, I (and almost everyone else I know) prefer the hole in the wall down the road: Russ Kendall's Smoke House - Knife River, MN

Pure bliss food. Smoked Herring is my current favorite. Once in a while sugar cured trout or salmon.

Well if you are in NYC on a friday morning - direct cash sales at Acme Smoked Fish or nearby Nassau meat market in greenpoint for some Kielbasa or Cabanossi (awesome on a grill)

Oh, man, smoky garlic Kielbasa from NY! My youth was not wasted in NY. I am happier here than there but how I miss the food!

I miss the food, too. I also consider NJ to be a culinary hot spot. Some really good victuals there. I have a sister-in-law in Moorestown, but we don't eat there...we go to more ethnic areas nearby or some really great place in a strip mall.

I recently watched "The Best Thing I Ever Ate" on the Food Network. One of the spots, with Michael Symon, featured beef jerky from this place

My mouth was watering watching the show.
